Description
This rare Sci-Fi album produced by MGM records in 1959 for Classics Illustrated is called
SPACE STORIES and SOUNDS. There are four stories that are narrated by Bill Stern.
Those four stories are The First Men in the Moon by H.G. Wells, The War of the Worlds
by H.G. Wells, The Time Machine by H. G.Wells, A Journey to the Center of the Earth by
Jules Verne.
Description: The jacket is graded as a VG as there is surface wear with some minor bends
on the front cover. There are some brown stains on the upper right side of the back cover.
The seams had some splitting but have been sealed neatly with archival tape. The vinyl
LP is rated as a NM/MT as there are no marks or scratches on the record. This is the Stereo
edition.
On page 95 of Dan Malan's Complete Guide to Classics Collectibles, Volume #1, printed
almost 30 years ago in 1991, lists this album as five to ten copies for 100-200 dollars. I
Haven't seen this album for sale in quite a few years.
