Description

SXL 2006 Decca UK ED1 Wide Band Grooved label with 'ORIGINAL RECORDING BY' at Nine o' Clock. Made in England.

Matrix numbers: ZAL 3525-2E / 3526-2E. Flipback scaloped blue back border cover, with original FFSS Decca poly-lined inner sleeve (EX).

Side One: Ruggiero Ricci with The London Symphony Orchestra plays the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E Minor
Side Two: Piero Gamba conducting The London Symphony Orchestra plays the Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor

Condition: VG+/VG+.

Cover: Very Good - some laminate torn away from opening edges at the front, corner wear, light creases. The top flipback on the reverse has a small tear in the centre and the right hand section is unstuck.

Record: Very Good - the vinyl retains its original glossy sheen with light scuffing, and would be graded EX but for 2 marks on Side 1 - the first is 1/3 through and results in light ticks for around 1 minute. The 2nd is a very small spot during the 3rd movement which results in 5 ticks. Otherwise play is excellent, Side 2 condition is Excellent and play is superb throughout. There are a few feint spindle marks around the centre holes on each side.
