Description

Many thanks for your interest in my records! I've collected records for over 30 years and as such sometimes take stock and realise how many duplicates I have accrued, and how many records I no longer listen to. I grade using the RRPG Record Collector grading system, though feel that I grade down if anything, please check my feedback for proof of this! I have sold many records (some incredibly rare ones in the 4 figures) over the years, so please rest assured that my gradings have been satisfactory so far! Though, If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me before leaving negative feedback. I haven't had negative feedback so far, and don't intend to start now if I can at all help it!
I'll combine records for the same price for up to 3 disks (double LPs count as 2!), and at as reduced a rate as I can beyond that! International bidders please ask, as I'll send them as cheaply as possible for you,but they must be sent tracked and insured.

SXL 2268 WIDEBAND 1ST ED (Square pinched-corner spine version)

RIMSKY-KORSAKOV: Scheherazade/ BORODIN: Polovtsian Dances

Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre De La Suisses Romande with the Choeur Des Jeunes & Choeur De Radio Lausanne.

Fantastic 1st pressing ("Original Recording By..." text), deep-groove wide-band STEREO copy of this wonderful, rare and sought after performance published in 1961.

Record Condition: VG+ It would be EX+ but for one very small mark during the very sparse violin passage near the beginning of the 1st Movement "The Sea And Sinbad's ship",where it produces about 10 very light ticks, but due to the sparseness of the passage, these are audible. Other than that... a real beauty! Perfect glossy mirror-like surfaces, even when angled under strong direct light I can make out 2 very faint featherlight surface hairlines that make absolutely no sound at all, and have absolutely no effect in any way on the playback. Beautiful looking and beautiful audio from start to finish! Wonderful!

Sleeve Condition: EX Really lovely fresh sleeve, with strong flipbacks and neat crisp edges! The vulnerable non-laminated back sleeve doesn'tsuffer the usual age/handling yellowing, and is is 100% free from graffitti etc. The rich laminated front sleeve is wonderfully strong, the colours incredibly vivid, the laminate lovely and crisp, with some very small indent lines near the top (highlighted in the photos as best as I can capture them- they are very hard to catch!), a handful of light "crows-feet " indents from the spine, 5 or 6 extremely faint handling crescents near 3 o'clock, and a slightly morevisible one to the bottom right-hand corner. The opening-mouth edges, and top and bottom edges are beautifully crisp, and the pinched end spine is in lovely square condition (apart from the very light "crows-feet" mentioned earlier),and is of course 100% legible. A really stand-out sleeve!
