Description
This is another sale from a my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
1964 UK stereo pressing on Decca records of SXL 6119, Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre De La Suisse playing "Russian Delights" which include
Mussorgsky (arr.Rimsky-Korsakov) Night in the bare mountain
Kovanshchina: Prelude, Persian dance
Glinka Russlan & Ludmilla overture, Waltz fantasy, Jota Aragonesa.
Label is grooved wide band ED1. The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are ZAL-6319-2E & ZAL-6320-2L.
Grading
Visually graded the vinyl under a task lamp. Would visually grade as side 1 as Excellent. side 2 is VG as it has some marks on it. Both sides have spider marks around the spindle hole. It plays on my Linn Sondek with no skips or jumps however there are crackles in places on both sides. The sleeve is in VG condition, there are marks on the back sleeve and water on the opening and edges.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
