Description
Legendary Do-It-Yourself punk classic from Germany. This extremely hard to find 4-tracker is part of GERMAN PUNK HISTORY. Only 500 copies of their first, best and rarest 7" which goes by the title 'Viel Feind, Viel Ehr und Noch Viel Mehr' were pressed. Cover and vinyl are still in excellent condition. This original first pressing was released on famous German punk label ‘Pure Freude’ records in 1979. It is also the FIRST LABEL RELEASE (catalogue number PF 001). You can listen to the winners ‘Klammheimlich’ and ‘Europa’ plus to the super-doooper DIY punk smashers ‘Moderne Romantik’ and ‘Industrie Mädchen’. The latter one also appears on the punk sampler BACK TO FRONT #3.
In 1977, Hans Martin Schleyer, the leader of a German Trade Union was kidnapped and later killed by the R.A.F. (Red Army Faction) and the cover of this record, was supposed to show one of the terrorists said to have been involved in that crime. For that reason no printer would print the sleeves, so band leader Harry Rag simply xeroxed the pictures out of a magazine and did all the covers himself. 100% Do-It-Yourself !!! 120% Punk !!!
With the band is Uwe Jahnke who later joined FEHLFARBEN and Ralf Dörper aka Vacant who was also in KRUPPS. Again, this 7” is part of GERMAN PUNK HISTORY.
