Description

From 1987, the extremely hard-to-find solo album from former Supremes lead singer/Glass House member Scherrie Payne! Did I mention she's the sister of Freda? Entitled "Incredible," this fabulously soulful 8-track LP was released on the tiny Superstar International label (catalog #SSLP-52). The album is produced by the great Wayne Henderson (of the Crusaders) and features two duets with Philip Ingram (brother of James), as well as two songs written by the Temptations' Ali-Ollie Woodson (and Otis Williams on one)! Two singles, "Incredible" and "Testify," made the lower reaches of the R&B charts back in '87. Now, they and this very limited-release album are extremely hard to find.

The LP is Near Mint, with a few light marks. I play tested it, and it plays great very clean and smooth without surface noise or skips. The cover is also a stunning Near Mint, still covered in plastic (not sealed). Great picture of Scherrie (looking remarkably like Phyllis Hyman!).

Tracks:

Incredible/Testify/On and On/Right Stuff/Touch Me Up/Work It Out/Hot Flash/Get Closer
