Description
We're offering two 33 1/3 R.P.M. radio "SPOTS AND STATION BREAKS" records featuring sound effects and Hopalong Cassidy and Smokey Bear. Both records are Platter No. 12 released by Cooperative Forest Fire Prevention Campaign and sponsored by state and federal forest services in cooperation with The Advertising Council. Both are in very fine, undamaged condition. One has the Salem, Indiana, District Forester's Office sticker attached to both sides A and B and the letters written in pencil on both sides. The other record has no sticker and no pencil writing. The nine page pamphlet featuring Hopalong Cassidy's and Smokey Bear's images has all of the words spoken by both in the three, 1 minute spots and ten, 30 second spots. Various sound effects, plaintive and friendly growls, chirping birds, clap of thunder, workmen hammering and sawing, introduce the two speakers. Another of the sound effects is, "Ack-ack - tanks - battle," which may suggest that these were used WWII to Korean War to Viet Nam War era. The pamphlet, too, is in very nice condition except for a little damage at top left of all pages, not into the content. We'll ship everything shown in our scans, two records, two sleeves and the pamphlet, priority with tracking number for $7.85.
