Description
Sonny Boy Williamson - Down And Out Blues - Chess ORIGINAL!
A first pressing of this rare classic on the solid dark-blue Chess label. From the classic Don Bronstein bum-on-the-cover to the twelve wonderful tracks, this one is highly collectible and sought after. Williamson is regarded by many as one of the better songwriters in the blues realm for his down-to-earth and visual lyrics, dry harmonica and an earthy, raspy voice. "All My Love In Vain," "Keep It To Yourself," "Cross My Heart" and "Don't Start Me Talkin'" among others. A beautifully clean example with no writing, no stickers, no seam splits & only the slightest amount of ring & shelf wear. The dark-blue labels are sharp & clean with pristine vinyl to boot. A true gem & TOP COPY!
All records are sold on an AS IS basis. No returns. I am not a record dealer, so I won't attempt to grade anything I list, as collectors often use different methods of grading. However, I will take note of any imperfections that are visible. I've been a private collector for years and am now listing many rare and hard-to-find blues records. I will be adding more items regularly, so please check back often. Good luck! I have 100% positive feedback so bid with confidence!
