DESCRIPTION - WHAT IS THIS? Stuck at home? It's a great time to play some games, watch movies or listen to music, and I'm listing a number of items from my video game, music, & DVD/Blu-Ray collection over the next few weeks. Please check out my other listings if you so choose.
Up for your consideration is my Original Mono Pressing of Sonny Rollins - Freedom Suite on the Riverside Label (RLP 12-258). This was released in 1958 and was Sonny's last record on Riverside. If you are a jazz fan, you are probably aware of Sonny Rollins' significance on Jazz music. This album is no exception.
The one you are looking at is in exceptional condition for it's age. I would rate Side 1 of the Vinyl visually as VG+/Excellent. There are 1 or 2 light marks on Side 1, HOWEVER you cannot feel it and it plays through just fine. No audible skips, or surface noise throughout all the tracks. Sounds clean and clear. Side 2 is visually EX/NM and plays beautifully as well.
Jacket is a VG+ with NO SEAM SPLITS and NO STICKERS/RESIDUE on the front or back. There is some discoloration as can be seen on the front due to age. All in all a very nice copy if you are a jazz collector/Sonny Rollins fan. If you were to buy this on discogs.com you'd be paying $130-175+. I'm starting at $1.99 with no reserve so good luck. I've sold a few high end albums on eBay over the years more specifically my original Sun Ra albums. There should be a historical account on popsike.com as well.
