Description
Spike Hughes and His Orchestra play two hot tunes, the superhot "Kalua" and and the bluesy "Dancing Time," on Decca F 1816. There are many fine solos, especially by Norman Payne.
Norman Payne (tp); Jock Fleming (tb); Harry Hines (cl,bar); Philip Buchel (as); Buddy Featherstonhaugh (ts); Stan Andrews, Ben Frankel, George Hurley (vln); Eddie Carroll (p); Alan Ferguson (g); Spike Hughes (b); Bill Harty (d). Recorded in London on June 27, 1930.
This record is in E- condition visually, and plays that way on "Kalua," and a bit under grade in spots on the other side.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing. I know how to pack records.
