Description

 -Artist / Group: Stan Cayer

-Mini bio: Based in Vancouver B.C., Canada, Stan Cayer operated a recording studio in Vancouver called S.G.M. (Stan's Good Music) and released the rockabilly classic "3 Wild Women" on his own label in 1963 which was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee with session musicians Charlie McCoy on harmonica, Argus Robbins on keyboards, Red West on drums and Harold Bradley played lead guitar (brother of Owen "Big Guitar" Bradley) with Stan Cayer on vocals.

-Vancouver radio station deejay Red Robinson played his songs in 1963 on Vancouver radio station CFUN the "Battle Of The New Sounds". Stan Cayer went on to perform as a regular on the Canadian CBC Television series "Music Hop" which was broadcast across Canada.

-Stan Cayer is still as popular as ever in Vancouver and recently performed on stage at the Cottage Bistro in Vancouver with the Y&R band. The appreciative crowd went wild, screaming for more....afterwards copies of Stan's new CD album were quickly sold to a jam-packed and appreciative crowd of fans.

-Titles: 3 Wild Women / Why Did I Cry

-"3 Wild Women" written by Stan Cayer and recorded in Nashville, Tennessee is a sizzling rockabilly with a great harmonica solo from Charlie McCoy, Red West does a great job on drums, Argus Robbins on keyboards and Harold Bradley on guitar with Stan Cayer doing a fine job on the vocals.

-"Why Did I Cry" written by Stan Cayer is a beautiful, slow tempo melodic teen love ballad with terrific female backing vocals, nice rhythm guitar from Harold Bradley, Charlie McCoy plays understated harmonica in the background and Stan Cayer's voice soars throughout.

(M) Mint: We don't use this grade as no record is perfect, even SS records can have tiny flaws.

(SS) Still sealed: Still sealed in the factory shrink wrap.

(M-) Mint minus: A nearly perfect record. The record will show no obvious signs of wear. Original finish intact. Picture sleeves should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling.

(VG+) Very good plus: The record will show some signs that it was played or otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffsor light scratches. Picture sleeves may have some slight ring wear, lightly turned up corners, or a small seam split.

(VG) Very good: Many of the defects found in a VG+ record or sleeve will be more pronounced in a VG record or picture sleeve. Groove wear may be noticeable, the record may have light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound, but the foreign noises will be less prominent than the music. Picture sleeves may have quite prominent ring wear. Creases, folds, seam splits and tears will be more obvious and may appear on all three sides, and there may be writing as well.

(VG-) Very good minus: Foreign noises may be about as prominent as the music. The record still plays through without skipping. The picture sleeve will have more significant seam splits, perhaps to the point where they were taped closed, and highly obvious ring wear and heavier writing. Can serve as a filler until a better one comes along.

(G) Good: We seldom offer a good record for sale unless it is particularily rare for the following reasons: Foreign noises are louder than the recorded music and listening can be distracted by the noise. May or may not play through without skipping, but should be so noted. Picture sleeves are so badly seam split that they may not be able to contain the record within.Tears, folds, writing and ring wear may be overwheming.
