This is quite a find; an extremely nice copy of the ultra rare 2xLP “The Stark Reality Discovers Hoagy Carmichael’s Music Shop,” released in 1970 as the music for the WGBH 21”Classroom television series. On the impossible to find Ahmad Jamal Productions label, this super rarity was pressed and released in 1970 in very limited quantities and the label went defunct shortly after this making this 2 LP set an instant collector's item.This is as nice a copy as one is likely to see; the vinyl and gate-fold cover both rate a strong VG+; has some very light edge wear on the lower right hand corner and the LP's both of them, are in very nice condition, one or two very tiny hairlike surface marks that do not affect pay at all. Just a very rare and highly collectible 2 record set of Hoagy Caricheal doing some electro Jazz funk for WGBH TV May of 1970.Musicians are John Abercrombie, Phil Morison, Vinnie Johnson, Monty Stark and Hoagy Carmichael. Tune names in photos above. Very reasonable reserve seeing this LP has sold for upwards of $1000 recently.
