Description
The 1975, UK pressing of Steel Mill's solitary LP; Green Eyed God.
I have graded the record at Good Plus (G+). The record plays through without any skips. There is significant surface noise throughout that does not overpower the music but is obviously more noticeable in the quieter passages. There is a pressure mark at the beginning of the record on both sides covering a portion of the tracks A1 and B1. This manifests as a recurring sound for about the first minute and a half of each side. There is a small white fleck on track A4 which sounds for three rotations. There is a scuff which covers half of A2 and most of A3 that doesn't appear to sound. There is a small indent at the end of B3 which sounds about ten times and stops just before B4 begins. There are many marks and scuffs throughout but I hope to have highlighted the most profound and problematic instances. I have also attempted to photograph them as best as my phone camera would allow.
I have graded the cover at Good (G). The cover shows heavy ringwear. There is heavy, heavy creasing at every corner with the bottom right corner being the worst affected. Where the band's name appears on front and back is also badly creased. The edges are worn but the information on the spine is just about legible. There are numerous marks and indents on both sides of the cover with the very worst being found to the right of the band photo on the reverse. The cover is still in one piece with no rips or tears. The cover is also slightly warped and very possibly saw some damp at some point. The inner sleeve appears original. It is discoloured, creased, wrinkled and stained along the righthand edge.
Taking all that into account it probably doesn't seem like too hot a prospect but I feel that this is a very playable copy. I believe that I have graded the record accurately but I am aware that it's not an exact science. I wish to be as transparent as possible and welcome any queries or concerns.
