Steely Dan Rare CAN Yellow Vinyl LP Royal Scam EX '76 ABC 9022931 Jazz Rock
Rare Original Canadian Yellow Vinyl LP released in 1976 on ABC Records. Cat: 9022 931. Comes with printed lyric inner bag which has a seam split on right hand edge and is in VG+ condition.
Uncovered in the out back of N.S.W. this record is part of a recent collection stored and unplayed for the last 20 years. Collected during the 90's and mostly sourced from overseas kept in a cool dry cellar there are some tasty gems on offer and we look forward on listing them over the next few months.
The Royal Scam is often praised as a Steely Dan classic, noted for its masterful blend of jazz-rock, funk, and hard rock with sharp, cynical lyrics about crime and disillusionment. Critics highlight its complex instrumentation, standout guitar solos, and iconic songs like "Kid Charlemagne" and "Don't Take Me Alive". It's considered a transitional album that sharpened the band's signature sound and is frequently cited as a fan favorite, though some find it less refined than later works.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has a few tiny surface tears around edges and is in Excellent condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
