Description

 

Recently purchased from a leftover 1930's dealer's stock, is this

Race Series Viva-Tonal Columbia 14500-D, cornet solos done by

Leroy Williams entitled "Welcome Stranger" and "Lullaby Baby."


Both sides were recorded in Dallas Texas on December 5, 1929.


The record is in lovely excellent-plus (E+) condition, and plays just

as you would expect from a beautiful Viva-Tonal. There is

however, a small dimple (needle drop?), making little, if any noise

on the A side, and totally harmless on the B side (at the runoff, well

after the music subsides).


The record is in the original Viva-Tonal sleeve.
