Description
So, what do we have here? A GinoTramp?
A SuperVannelli? Hmmm….
What this is, is a very rare factory mispress.
Supertramp and Gino both recorded for A&M records. Somehow, the stampers must’ve got mixed up during the pressing process.
While both sides bear the correct Breakfast in America labels, side one actually plays side one of best of Gino Vannelli. Side two plays, as you would expect, the correct side two of Breakfast in America.
(A quick trip to Discogs confirms that the stamper number on Side A is indeed the best of Gino Vannelli)
When these kinds of mistakes happen, they are almost always caught very quickly, and I’m sure that was the case here. I have never seen another copy of this record for sale, and I have been collecting for over 40 years.
A similar thing did happen with this album, and the Police’s Ghost in the Machine… once side played breakfast in America, the other side played ghost in the machine. I’ve only seen one copy of that, and once again, both artists on A&M.
Vinyl is very clean…easily a strong VG+.
Cover also very clean…VG+/EX.
Any questions at all, please do ask before bidding. Shipments to lower US 48 physical locations only please; no shipments to PO boxes, APO boxes, or any location outside the contiguous 48. Shipments outside the United States are handled by eBay international shipping program. Please note that they set the shipping prices, not me. No returns on this very unusual album.
Again, any questions, please ask.
Thanks for looking.
