Background ## This is the US First Pressing of one of my ''TRUE TOP TEN ALBUMS"!! It varies from the Australian in so much that it's Gatefold & in my humble opinion sounds much better!!! ##  History <<< The Slider is the seventh studio album by English rock band T. Rex, and the third since abbreviating their name from Tyrannosaurus Rex. It was released on 21 July 1972 by record labels EMI and Reprise. Two number-one singles, "Telegram Sam" and "Metal Guru", were released to promote the album. Issued at the height of the band's popularity, The Slider received acclaim from critics, and reached number 4 in the UK charts and number 7 in the US. >>>  Condition Report The Vinyl is described as between Excellent to Near Mint and closer to Near Mint, which it played to today during its play-test, well below average background & no skips or stops. Not too many signs of play. Just a few extremely fine hairlines and/or sleeve marks. No spindle marks. Small faded area to one of the labels. The Vinyl has retained nearly all of its rich waxy lustre. 
The Gatefold Cover is described as VG & please do not buy this copy if you are looking for a great cover... BUY IT IF YOU WANT AMAZING VINYL QUALITY!! (Just like I did 30 years ago.) 
Considerable edge/spine & corner-wear. Cracks, bends and wrinkles interspersed. Ring-wear to front & verso. Substantial colour & paper losses. Foxing visible, especially towards spine. All seam splits repaired internally & externally. Stains front, back & middle. Major taping to bottom 1/3rd on all sides. 
The Original Company Inner Sleeve is in Excellent condition with no seam splits & just some foxing.
