"Remain in Light" is the fourth studio album by the American band Talking Heads, released on October 8, 1980 on the Sire Records label. The album is considered to be one of the most influential works of the 1980s and the pinnacle of the band's output. The album was written in collaboration with producer Brian Eno and is known for its fusion of various musical styles, including new wave, art rock, post-punk, dance-rock, Afrofunk, worldbeat and psychedelic funk. The group drew inspiration from African rhythms, particularly the Afrobeat style of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, and combined them with electronic elements and experimental recording techniques.
