TASTE S/T DEBUT ALBUM, POLYDOR VINYL LP, RORY GALLAGHER Taste – self titled album
Taste were an Irish rock and blues band formed in the mid-1960s and gained fame in large part, because of their unique style, and the talent and charisma of the band ’s founder, songwriter and musician Rory Gallagher. The band, a power trio, also moved on to make history as one of the first three acts to perform on the televised studio program, Rockpalast, in Germany. This was their debut album released in 1969. It features Rory Gallagher (guitars, vocals and harmonica); Richard ‘Charlie’ McCracken (bass guitar) and John Wilson (drums).
Side One:

Side Two: Dual Carriageway Pain; Same Old Story; Catfish; I’m Moving On.
The album is on Polydor Records, 583 042. Matrix side one: 583042 A//1 (stamped). Matrix side two: 583042 B//1 (stamped).
Released in 1969. UK pressing. Stereo.
Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system. If I see a mark it will be mentioned however light/small, apart from the usual very light paper scuffs/marks - usually caused by record being removed from the inner sleeve, which appear on nearly all old records and which are only visible under strong light)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (a few light superficial marks are visible that do not affect the audio in any way, plays without fault).
Vinyl side 2: very good (a few light superficial marks are visible that do not affect the audio in any way, also one small scratch that causes 12 light clicks at the very beginning of the first track, that apart plays without fault).
Cover (fully laminated): very good (corner bashes, crease on front bottom right, laminate lift on front and back along spine edge - see photos).
The record plays great with no jumps, skips or sticks and minimal crackle.
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
