TCHAIKOVSKY 1812 Overture Fritz Reiner Conducting The Chicago Symphony Orchestra New & Sealed 200 gram Vinyl LP - Audiophile
Record Label: RCA Victor/Classic Records LSC-2241 Year: 1958
Hard to find SEALED copy of this Classic Records/RCA, "Shaded Dog" audiophile title.
Using an all-analog, tube amplification process, this recording was mastered by audio legend, Bernie Grundman, at half speed from the original source audio tapes. The disc was then pressed on 200 gram QUIEX SV-P vinyl guaranteeing virtually no surface noise and sonically superior dynamics. In addition to the amazing audio, Classic Records made every attempt to  faithfully reproduce the original artwork... their sleeves are beautiful and make for a stunning package.
Record is new and sealed in it's original plastic sleeve. Perforation is completely intact. Corners are sharp, spines are straight and colors are vibrant. There are no flaws or blemishes... 100% MINT!
Track Listing:
Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture, Op. 49 Mendelssohn Fingal's Cave, Op. 26 (The Hebrides Overture) Liszt Mephisto Waltz (Episode from Lenau's Faust: Dance in the Village Inn) Brahms Tragic Overture, Op. 81
Review: The legendary Reiner 1812 that was only available as a 1S pressing having been deleted soon after the Mercury 1812 featuring live cannon shots was released making for a very rare original to find. The performance is mind bending and features the incomparable CSO brass section. This reissue was cut for the first time from the original 30 ips session master tape which adds significantly to the low level information and clarity on the LP.
