The Beatles - 'Beatles For Sale'. PCS 3062
The Beatles 1964 UK 1st STEREO FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Beatles For Sale' LP. Released on the 4th December 1964, and offered here fully complete and in great condition.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the yellow and black Parlophone label both sides feature the 'Sold in UK....' text, 'Recording First Published 1964' text and have 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd....' rim print. The 'KT' tax code is embossed on the side 2 label. It comes complete with the original laminated gatefold sleeve with outline STEREO logo to the front. The vinyl is housed within the original emitex poly lined inner sleeve. A great example of this early 1964 factory sample demo pressing in rare stereo format.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: YEX 142-1 1 GP (The digit '2' has been overstamped. It looks to have originally been: 143-1)
Side 2: YEX 143-1 2 GH
The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition on side one and EXCELLENT condition on side two.
Both labels are in EXCELLENT+ condition.
The sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition. I will also include an additional inner sleeve to protect the original.
This LP will be very carefully packaged for transit. UK recorded postage is: £4.55. EU recorded postage is: £12.95. Rest of the world recorded postage is: £18.95. Combined, reduced postage is available.
