Description
THE BEATLES
Title : Abbey Road Cat No : PCS 7088 Label : Apple
Matrix : YEX 749-2 / YEX 750-1 Issue : UK Original Press
This is the UK Original press of 'Abbey Road' by The Beatles. This record has the original dark green Apple label which omits the 'Her Majesty' text and is complete with the original EMI plain inner sleeve and the original laminated Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss, there are just a couple of light marks and a just a few very light wispy marks. The record has clearly only been played a few times. The sound is rich, warm and clear, there are moments of noise but these are insignificant and do not spoil the enjoyment of the album at any point. The Apple label is exceptionally bold and bright, completely clean with only the very slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with the original plain Apple inner sleeve.
The original Garrod & Lofthouse laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are vivid, the black is bold and the laminate has a superb polished shine. There is just very slight ring wear and a couple of small laminate creases on the top edge. The edges are firm, the whole cover is very solid and the spine is firm with clear text on a bright white background.
