This is the UK 1st press of 'A Hard Days Night' by The Beatles. This 1st press has the original 'The Parlophone Co Ltd,' 'Recording first published 1964' and 'Sold in UK' label text. It has the polylined Emitex inner sleeve and rare earliest 'patents pending' Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve, however unusually this sleeve has not been laminated.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. It has a sensational bright gloss with a few very light wispy marks on each side. On playing the sound is extremely rich and warm. The voices are clear and the backing is vibrant. The black and yellow Parlophone label is completely clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is sharp. There is only the very slightest spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex inner sleeve.
The flipback sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The colours are bold and the image is still very sharp. The opening edge has the slightest wear. The back has light discolouration but is still bright and the whole cover is still solid and clean. The spine is firm with clear black text on a clean white background.
