BEATLES: Love. Amazing ORIGINAL Apple Promo Package. LP CD & EXTRAS. Unique Collectors Opportunity.
For auction here is a sensational opportunity for all serious Beatles collectors out there. This is in all probability the only ever chance to own this uniquely rare official Beatles/Apple promotional set COMPLETE. No others exist like this. Thus making it today a limited edition of...just ONE. This ONE.
Here's the story behind this incredible collection.
In 2006 a select gathering of music industry insiders were invited along to Abbey Road Studios in London to hear the world premiere playback of the hugely anticipated "new" Beatles album, "Love" that Giles Martin had been working on for years. An invite to this playback was literally the hottest ticket in town.
Admission to the event was strictly limited, to say the least, and could only be accessed by those wearing an official gold Apple wristband emblazoned with the Beatle logo.
On arrival guests were given an exclusive black Apple Records bag containing some items that would never be made available to the general public. I have never seen this package made available for auction before, indeed very few Beatle collectors know of its existence. But here it is, complete and in fantastic, as new, condition.
Firstly there is the 2-Disc CD/DVD box set of the album itself. This is still unopened and in its shrink wrap. As the hype sticker says, "The Beatles As You Have Never Heard Them Before."
Next is the double album of LOVE on VINYL. A rare enough piece in itself. Again this is still mint, in shrink wrap and SEALED.
Now we get to unique items never meant to be generally available.
TWO Gold Apple/Beatle Wristbands that allowed people to attend that night in Abbey Road and that AMAZINGLY seem never to have been worn by whoever owned them.
A FOUR TRACK Promo CD intended for Radio Use Only and still bearing the Apple/Parlophone sticker stating it was strictly for industry insiders and NOT FOR RESALE.
The Beatles Love EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for 'Love' that would have contained all the information about the project along with various interview quotes and music snippets. I have never played this so do not know just how many extras are on the disc but I presume it contains all the Beatle photos, features and facts the press would have needed when promoting the album.
An Official Apple/Love Badge (Button). Again, never used.
The Branded Apple Records Bag the gifts were originally housed in and handed out to the specially invited guests on the night. Very few of these can have survived.
I cannot believe this unique collection of Beatles/Abbey Road history will ever be offered for auction again, certainly in so complete a set. This magnificent bag of mega rare Beatle music and merchandise would surely sit near the centre of any serious Beatles collectors display. Who else would have this?
It is a late, wonderful, addition to their recorded history. Only those there on the night would have been gifted this magic and I suspect might have quickly broken the set up. But here it all is - mint and complete. Even the wristbands. Even the bag.
