Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour 1967 FIRST US MONO PRESS in overall VERY GOOD+ condition!
This is a rare record as it features the golden 'Specially Imported by E.M.I Records' sticker on the front! This means that EMI imported the album from the US to the UK in around 1967 for UK customers!
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - there are some very light scratches, hairlines and sleeve removal trails. None of these are feelable so shouldn't affect play! Rated as VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD+.
- Side 2 - same as Side 1!
Audio:
- In my eyes, the audio is EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+!! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! There isn't much crackle at all! It's a very nice-sounding copy with lots of clarity and punch! The mono audio is loud, crisp, punchy and sounds great! Hard to fault it really! Lies very flat and plays very well!
The original US mono sleeve is intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve is nice and clean with an intact golden import sticker! I must point out that there are some splits to the edges of the tops of the sleeve. Doesn't affect how the record is housed but please see all pictures!! The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean with very little problems. The spine is readable but isn't perfectly square as it has moved slightly. Not a huge problem an doesn't affect how the record is housed. The inner gatefold is really clean and white! The booklet is intact but some of the inner pages have one staple loose. Could be fixed but I'm not an expert on these. All the pages and pictures are creases free and look almost new!
