Description
Hello. Genuine and very rare first pressing of this classic long play Beatles single. How do we know it is the real 1966 pressing? Well, keep reading....
First pressing, July 8, 1966. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd…” printed at the start perimeter print and the publishing year printed as “(p) 1965? and with “SOLD IN U.K…”. Push-out or solid center. Tax code KT. Matrix numbers: Side 1: 7TCE 904-1, Side 2: 7TCE 905-1.
You will see these in the attached photos.
Re-pressings were also made early in the 1970's, which do NOT have "Sold in the U.K. ...".
And a further pressing was made in 1973, which added a boxed EMI logo.
You will find many on ebay claiming to be first pressing records but DO NOT the above points. Check out http://www.jpgr.co.uk/gep8952.html or http://thebeatles-collection.com/wordpress/2011/11/11/nowhere-man-parlophone-gep-8952/ for further details about these specifics.
Record is in excellent condition. Bright and clean. No major scratches. Clearly used in life but looks great.
Sleeve as per photo. Slight creasing and discolouration on reverse, but no rips or other similar defects. No seam splits.
Free postage which will only be standard second class post. Please note that if you want any other postage this will be at your request and your additional expense. I will post abroad but contact seller BEFORE bid to enquire reference cost.
Very rare and highly sought after.
If you'd like more photos of any specifics please ask.
