Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Revolver 12" 1966 mono original Parlophone pressing LP vinyl' in overall VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - quite a few hairlines and light scratches but nothing deep or feelable. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is GOOD+.
- Side 2 - lots more hairlines but only light. Nothing deep or feelable. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD-.
Audio:
- Audio currently rated as VERY GOOD- is places and VERY GOOD in other places!! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! There is some background crackle throughout and some more noticeable light distortion throughout. Please do not fear this 'distortion' - it just sounds like a build up of dust/dirt in the grooves. Needs a deep clean to enhance the sound quality but unfortunately I do not have the facilities to do so! Still very punchy, crisp and loud! Lies flat and plays well!
Original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition!! A lovely thick, crisp inner sleeve from 1966! The usual light creases here and there but NO SPLITS, NO TEARS and NO WRITING!
The original 1966 EJ DAY mono flipback sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD!! The front of the sleeve has some light ringwear and edgewear - not a huge problem at all! It does have some slight discolouration and small marks here and there - PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!! The rear of the sleeve has some light staining near the word REVOLVER. Also has some creases towards the corners and a faded name written on the top flipback - hardly noticeable unless held under light at a certain angle. Flipbacks are slightly discoloured but still intact! Spine is 100% readable with minimal wear, just slightly rounded.
Catalogue number - PMC 7009 Number of tracks - 14 Released - 1966 Matrix numbers - XEX 605-2 XEX 606-2
As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a classic Beatles record that sounds great!
