This auction is for an original 1967 mono 1st press UK LP of the Beatles LP 'Sgt. Peppers' on the yellow / black Parlophone label. This copy includes the unique 'Fourth Proof' sleeve also it's original dark green cutout sheet and original red custom inner sleeve! Very highly collectible!

PAY ATTENTION! INCREDIBLE HARD TO FIND, VERY RARE IN SUCH A BRILIANT CONDITION THIS ICONIC 1967' MONO LP!  AN ABSOLUTE ORIGINAL LP FROM THIS FABULOUS BAND "FAB FOUR"!

CONDITIONS: (Disc/Audio/Gatefold Sleeve): VISUAL EXCELLENT/AUDIO EXCELLENT(+)/VERY GOOD

COVER
This is the correct issued of 1st PRESS 'Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.', MONO laminated flipback gatefold sleeve 'Fourth  Proof'. This example is in very good condition, with gloss surface/shine and clean, with couple surface creases, edges wear and a light wav? surface, the normal condition for his 50 years age (see pics). 
No writing, no marks, no sticks, no roptures/tears. Inside the  gatefold sleeve is near MINT! The very important texts 'Fourth Proof' and 'AR D 13217' are very clear and readable. The spine is only the remark part of this copy, very well shaped, but with wear in the middle site and not fully legible/readable (see pic.), but can be accepted strong considering despite for it`s 50 years old, very nice and Collectable on the whole (see pics.) VERY GOOD condition total for the gatefold sleeve.

VINYL
The Iconic original 1967 UK 1st Press Vinyl 'Sgt.  Pepper's  Lonely  Hearts  Club  Band'! Nice bright, clean and shiny, as it was just pressed! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT with NO really nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatever! Only on Side1 barely can be seen one lite surface scuff. Side 2 is like near MINT, upon closer inspection of light are a few very fine traces, that have no influence whatsoever! Both sides NO wispy sleeve traces, NO mild or deep hairlines and age marks. BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity! Must grade overall close to EXCELLENT! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL)! Visually it can be concluded, that both sides are EXCELLENT condition.

AUDIO

Sound of the vinyl record is the most important for the client pleasure. Upon playing both sides, the record plays brilliantly with fantastic STEREO depth, warmth and clarity! The sound really  is great, deep and clear, NO HISS, REPEATS, SKIPS/JUMPS, or CRACKLES, only a couple of typical light static clicks at the beginning of the record. There is certainly no dominant interference and nothing obtrusive in the playback, both visually and audibly. Such a fantastic sound can gets only from 1st Press UK vinyl, earliest solid thick vinyl! Astonishing for a record of this age and rarity, listen and stored very carefully in time! EXCELLENT(+) SOUND condition! (Somebody  can say NEAR MINT, but in reserve and respect to the most demanding fans of The Beatles I write only Exccelent(+).     

LABELS
Black label with Yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Ltd.” printed at the start perimeter print and “Sold in U.K. subject…” text. Both labels are in EXCELLENT(+) condition without any unwanted writing or stains, but with several very light spindle trails on either side. The KT tax code is present clear on Side 1.

INNER SLEEVE
The correct 1st PRESS handle with original PSYCHEDELIC RED inner sleeve.  Sleeve is in superb condition, without any writing or splits, but is slightly stained with a few spots of time. However, it may be determined categorically an EXCCELENT!

CUT-OUTS
Dark green original cut-outs, in near EXCELENT condition, see a pic.

Important Information: This is ULTRA RARE unique sleeve! The 'Fourth Proof' sleeve is the earliest possible pressing of the 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' cover. The 'Fourth Proof' sleeve was the final version of the various ‘prototypes’ that were explored by The Beatles, when the cover was being designed. The cover (and text) was approved by The Beatles and an initial very small ‘test’ run was undertaken to make sure everything looked OK. This small test run is characterised by the inverted 'Fourth Proof' text in the top right hand corner of the inner gatefold – just above George Harrison’s head (see pics.). This is therefore the earliest possible ‘prototype’ (test pressing) cover. Same fold-back have can printed text 'AR D 13217' which was probably the reference number for the prototype text that was used. The bevel of the inverted edge of the cover usually hides the part of the last digit of the text 'AR D 13217', which is '7'. With huge gratitude to 'http://thebeatles-collection.com'
