Vinyl Weight: 150gm
Visually the vinyl grades VG with some lights scuffs and needle marks and there is some brief distortion and clicking during A Day In The Life.
In spite of these flaws this copy plays pretty superbly with a clarity, richness and smoothness which I have rarely heard on a Sgt Pepper.
I suspect this is a very well pressed example as overall the mono sound stage is exceptionally vivid with a real distinction between instruments and vocals and a lot more detail than I have heard before. The majority of the album plays EX+ but because of A Day In The Life I will have to grade VG+. I also noticed that this is pressed on 150gm vinyl whereas my other copies are around 138gm.
The label on side one has the misprint extra dot in the 'Sold in The .U.K.' text.
The sleeve is generally in VG condition with a crease/split to the laminate of the spine and crushing of the fold on the inside of the gatefold.
The inner sleeve is in FAIR condition and the album is missing the cut out.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality,
despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc.
The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
