The Beatles : Something New B12 / B12 3rd Stereo Export Pressing CPCS 101 Parlophone 1969
This is a stunning example of this third and last Export pressing from 1969 and it is an absolute time warp classic! I have played every track in full and I can confirm the audio is out of this world! The clarity, depth and power of the recording is superb and there is literally no background to be heard. To say it plays 'as new' it is not an exaggeration and the vinyl itself is visually stunning and has clearly not been played very much. It is a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing and is easily one of the finest 60s albums I have ever listened to. There are so many highlights, too numerous to mention really, but 'And I Love Her' is a real stand out, I have never heard a better version.
If you want the most 'complete' version of this Export pressing then this is the one to own!
I say that because the cover is also in fantastic condition with very little wear, certainly nothing obvious. It has been so well preserved and has retained its original shape and structure perfectly. The front cover is so clean and the back is stunning! I will grade as Ex++ but honestly it is so close to Near Mint-

Visual description
The vinyl is in beautiful condition and still has an immaculate jet-black glossy sheen and no scratches. Under a bright light I can only see a couple of tiny faint blemishes on S1 and a small number of ultra faint hairlines but it is without doubt a stunning example of its kind. The run out grooves are pristine and the one box EMI Parlophone labels are super clean also. S1 has barely any spindle wear and S2 just a little more.
Play Grading
The run in on S1 has literally no background and then 'I'll Cry Instead' plays stunning precision through every section. The audio is so clear, you wouldn't believe how clear! Even the fade out has no background. Admittedly the treble is high in the mix so you do need to increase the bass sound but it is nonetheless a Mint start to the album.
'Things We Said Today' plays with more depth and the clarity of sound is stunning. Once again I cannot overstate just how well it plays, there is not even a solitary static tick let alone anything more. Mint all the way.
'Anytime At All' is of course a powerful track and sonically it is superb. There is no distortion on the top end and there are no ticks, clicks or pops and no static either. The instrumental towards the end is a case in point. As stated above it is very obvious this vinyl has hardly been played. It's worth pointing out that this is the third fade out in a row that has no background whatsoever. Mint
If anything 'When I Get Home' is even more powerful... and the playback is stunning. There is no obvious distortion and the audio is again so clean and 'fresh'. It's so strong and dynamic with zero interference and Mint- is richly deserved. To be honest I'm not sure the minus is necessary.
In terms of volume 'Slow Down' is on the same level and again the audio cannot be faulted. A relatively long intro by their standards and it plays with very strong, deep audio and of course no intrusion. The opening vocal is equal to that and it continues in the same precise way. Every vocal and instrumental section plays with sublime quality and Mint- is again fair.
One of their earliest numbers 'Matchbox' ends the side with stunning quality once more. On so many of the Beatles' recordings from the 60s final tracks are so often affected by distortion but that is not the case here. The sonic quality is phenomenal in my opinion and I do not think you could find a more 'complete' version. Mint-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Tell Me Why' on S2 keeps up the high end standard and plays with impeccable quality throughout. They certainly wanted upbeat numbers for this export pressing didn't they! Vocally it is superb with John, Paul and George all taking different roles. There is no interference, just one barely audible static on the fade out, the first on the album! Still Mint though.
The first ballad 'And I Love Her' plays with pristine audio. The acoustic intro is flawless and McCartney's opening vocal is equally as clean. Sonically it is 'as new', I mean you hear every vocal effect the playback is just STUNNING. The acoustic background is incredible also, each note so clean and succinct. This is an immaculate MINT version, the definitive version.
'I'm Happy Just To Dance With You' plays with great power and depth and no interference. No need to elaborate it is Mint from start to finish.
'If I Fell' plays with exceptional audio... no surprise there! The first vocal has a minor touch of distortion but believe me when I say it is so so minimal and totally non-intrusive. As I often say it is scarcely worth a mention and I only do because I am 100% 'complete' with my listings. From then onwards it plays so clearly with a clarity and warmth that is second to none. Another stunning Mint- version.
The reworked and iconic 'Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand' ends the album with superlative audio once more. The lack of distortion is again tangible and it plays with great power and definition and no interference. I have to re-iterate the audio is so clean and precise for a final track and Mint- is infinitely deserved. What an album!
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The Patents pending G & L cover as stated is in remarkable condition for its age and has hardly been handled. The edges and thin pinched spine are stunning without any wear and as for the corners, only the bottom right one has minimal rubbing. The opening edge is almost 'as new' and the laminated front cover is in superb shape with no obvious wear. It has a handful of small laminate creases next to the bottom edge, another crease near the top right corner and a tiny corner crease top left but these are minor issues, it looks stunning! The back cover is even more impressive in a way because it isn't laminated. It is so clean with barely any marking and the flip-backs are among the cleanest I have ever seen on a 60s album. They have none of the marking / staining on the edges that you so often see and only the right hand one has some faint 'marking' running down close to the edge, maybe it could even be removed. The flip-backs all remain perfectly attached to the cover also. There are a couple of tiny corner creases also but overall this is a fantastic example of this cover and so rarely found in this condition.
The original plain white die-cut inner sleeve has some light marking and creasing but no side splits or tears.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
