Description

TEA TWO MILKY

Hello, up for auction today is a serious Beatles collectors item. I am selling this great mono copy of The Beatles White Album for a friend who has had this lp in his family (fathers collection), since purchase on the first day of it's release.

This set is in fantastic EX condition and is totally complete with unused photos, poster and photo spacer it was issued with. This is a very low numbered copy, No.0006775, and i think it ticks all the boxes that a genuine first day issue White Album should do. This lp is listed with no reserve, the auction will run to the end with no buy it now price. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

The Beatles - 'White Album' No '0006775'. PMC 7067/7068

The Beatles 1968 MONO UK 1st pressing of the 'White Album' LP. Released on the 22nd November 1968, this is a fully complete example of one of The Beatles best and rarest LP's. This copy is a very low numbered top opening mono issue with very early vinyl pressings. The low numbered cover deserves special attention due to its fantastic condition, graded as EXCELLENT, please see photos.

Released on the dark UK Apple label, all four sides of the vinyl feature the 'Sold in The UK ....' statement. But do NOT contain the 'An EMI Recording' text indicating a very early pressing.

This comes complete with the original top opening sleeve which has embossed 'THE BEATLES' and the unique very low number of '0006775'. The sleeve is the correct UK 1968 1st MONO edition and does NOT have 'Stereo' printed on the back cover. The vinyl are housed within the correct original black die cut inner sleeves again in EXCELLENT condition. The original 'lipstick kiss' poster and colour photographs are in stunning NEAR MINT condition.

The vinyl has very early matrix numbers and some early mother/stamper numbers.

Side 1: XEX 709-1   1 GGH. Side 2: XEX 710-2    3 GGl. Side 3: XEX 711-1    1 RA. Side 4: XEX 712-1   4 OD

The vinyl visually is in EXCELLENT-   condition on sides 1,2 and 4 just a few light marks on these playing surfaces. Side 3 is in EXCELLENT condition.

I have play graded this lp throughout, i noted just a few light clicks on the first record: 5 light ticks at the start of Back in the USSR, 3 very low ticks at the end of Rocky Raccoon and 3 very light ticks during Why Don't We Do It In The Road

Nothing noted on the second record.

The vinyl sits perfectly flat on my turntable.

All labels are in EXCELLENT condition. All labels are clean, but there are some spindle marks on all sides. KT tax codes stamped on sides 2 and 4 (please see photos). The KT tax code stamps were discontinued in late 1968 (a new government tax code was brought in), which proves this lp is the earliest possible issue. The labels are the dark green Apple labels. No 'An EMI Recording' written on the labels - the absence of this statement was apparently only seen on White Albums from the first week of issue. The KT tax stamps, dark green labels and No 'An EMI Recording' are all features only found on the earliest possible copies of the first issue of this lp!

The laminated top opening gatefold sleeve is in EXCELLENT condition. The laminate is in great condition and still has a nice shine, no bubbling or cracking. The Embossed wording 'The Beatles' and the number on the front cover look great. There is a very minor light crease to a corner of the back cover and there is some light yellowing in streaks on the front cover. The 8mm spine is in nice condition with only minor wear towards the base of the spine (please see photos)

The original black inner sleeves are in EXCELLENT condition.

The poster is in NEAR MINT condition. The poster has simply been kept in the sleeve since purchase

The four pictures are in fantastic condition, 3 photos are in NEAR MINT condition, Ringo's photo is in EXCELLENT+ condition with a very, very light crease. Again these photos have never been displayed, just kept in the sleeve.

This complete set includes the photo spacer in EXCELLENT++ condition. This was issued with the set to use as a guide when you were putting the photos up on the wall - it is very rare to find this photo spacer unused with this set.

This record will be posted securely by registered insured post with sturdy packaging. The postage prices include insurance up to £500.

Full money back guarantee if you are not happy with your purchase, bid with confidence!

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!!

***ALL RECORDS HAVE BEEN VISUALLY GRADED. IF THERE ARE ANY LIGHT MARKS THESE HAVE BEEN PLAY GRADED TO CHECK FOR SOUND QUALITY***

please note, records selling for over £20 must be sent registered (insured) delivery - no exceptions, sorry! this will be charged as extra postage at cost to the buyer, please wait for invoice before paying.

As of the 4th September 2013 Ebay has decided it will take a 10% cut of all post and packaging costs!!!!! ..... this will affect both domestic and international postage rates, sorry, but this is beyond my control. I do not make a profit on postage. here is an example of how i work out my postage: to post a record to the UK royal mail 2nd class is £2.60, record mailers and cardboard stiffners around 90p, which total £3.50. i now need to receive £3.90 (ebay now take 10% of this is £3.90 which is 39p,     £3.90 -39p = £3.51 which is what i need to receive for the cost of the postage). I understand this makes postage more expensive, but i can't do anything about it. If some business sellers can post records for cheaper than this they are doing so at a loss, i unfortunately cannot do this, hopefully this is understandable, thanks.

always happy to combine postage for multiple buys. you can collect from south london to save on postage if you like! THANKS

records will be posted out in proper record mailers with a cardboard stiffner. i will get a proof of postage from the post office for all records. if you need special postal requirements please get in touch, these will be charged at cost. the post office insures each packet for up to £20 only. all auctions will run to the end with no reserve price. if you need to know anything about the record or auction just get in touch and i'll do my best to answer your questions, thanks for looking
