SLEEVE:
I grade as EXCELLENT / EXCELLENT (-) overall.
The fully laminated sleeve is very clean and white overall with just some mild age yellowing but not in a bad way. A little wear to the opening edges. Some very light corner bumping. The laminate is completely intact with just the odd minor crease. There are some tiny indentations and marks.
'The BEATLES' is crisply embossed leaning slightly upwards with the number 0317692 clearly printed leaning downwards below.
There is very little ring wear front or back. The back of the sleeve is clean with just one tiny spot.
SPINE: EXCELLENT; the spine is fully intact and the text is all clearly legible. There is a little age browning (see photos) which is not as bad as the photos suggest.
PHOTO PRINTS: John, George & Ringo are in VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(+) condition; bright & glossy but there are some marks which can be seen if the prints are held up to the light. The Paul print is different, so I assume it has been replaced at some point. It grades as EXCELLENT, but is slightly smaller than the other 3 (see photos).
POSTER: EXCELLENT (-) condition overall; there is some light creasing and handling marks but no splits at all.
INNERS: VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD (-) condition; the 2 fragile original die-cut black sugar paper inners are in reasonable shape. Both have some fraying to the top edge and small nicks / tears around the hole. A 6cm split to the bottom edge of one.
LABELS: All EXCELLENT with just some very minor spindle wear. Lovely bright, clean labels.
RECORDS - SOUND: All 4 sides play to the same VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(+) standard; the music is bright and clear though there is some light crackle in run-ins, between tracks and in some quieter moments but nothing particularly over-bearing. Some pops on 'Mother Nature's Son' and a little mild distortion towards the end of side 3 ('Long Long Long').
RECORDS - VISUAL: Both discs are still relatively shiny but have their fair share of hairline, light & mild scratches + some superficial scuffing. Probably VERY GOOD / VERY GOOD(-) to look at. No deep scratches affecting play.

GRADING
All of my records have been play tested before listing using a new Rega P3-24 turntable. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself. I am a collector myself (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.
I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.
I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.
Please do let me know if you require any additional photographs of the sale item as I will be happy to oblige.
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please do contact me as all problems can be sorted out.
POSTAGE / SHIPPING
I post worldwide and pack all records in custom made (stiff) card mailers and add extra packaging inside to ensure a safe delivery. I will provide a protective polythene sleeve and the record and inner will be removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. I want your record to get to you in the condition that it was when it left me.
For any records that come with printed inner sleeves, I will also provide an additional plain inner.
All of the above is included in my postage and packing / shipping rates.
I will always offer a postage discount for multiple purchases. Please send me a message for a quote.
Please send me a message if anything is unclear and I will be happy to help.
RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
