Description
On offer here is the rarest and most sought after Beatles albums ever(,the collectors holy grail.) Please please me*STEREO*-uk first pressing!!!!!!!! 100% geniune. with a small 33 1/3 and with Dick James credits.......Not only is this the first ever pressing on the gold and black " STEREO ALBUM", but also comes with complete with origional first issue emitex ( thicker paper than later issues) inner linning sleeve, and the origional first issue STEREO- Ernest J. Day & Co sleeve. PLEASE NOT THAT IT IS SAID THAT ONLY 900 "STEREO" COPIES WERE PRESSED, SO TO HAVE ONE OF THE FIRST 300 PRESSED (as this one is ) WOULD BE A SUPER ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION !!!!!!!! Please Please Me,pcs 3042 gold on black Stereo label---*MZT* tax code run----yex 94-1 and yex 95-1 plus 1 R and 1G in the run out grove at 3 & 9 oclock to sides one and two. ( indicates a first pressing) Condition of Vinyl.....Has a high gloss and has fine surface marks ,but does NOT have any SCUFFS ( this is quite incredible for a heavy vinyl of over 40 years old ) The centre hole has spindle marks but the label is very bright and clear (i could have coloured the spindle marks in with black felt tip,but i pride myself in being honest, read my feedbacks ) The vinyl lie's flat and is not warped. The inner sleeve is complete,no rips or writing..,the ERNEST J DAY sleeve is complete but does have the usual corner wear, but no parts are unstuck, ( again i would say that its quite incredible to be in this condition ,when you think of the amount of handling it must have had) The back has no writing, tape or splits, the spine is beautiful with please please me unbroken .... photo taken by ANGUS McBEAN in its correct position at the bottom right hand corner, (later copies were further towards the centre ) of the front of the album... The vinyl and sleeve have been professionally graded as vg+ vinyl and vg sleeve, others would grade it as excellent, but i will go by the first grade,( the winner may grade it as excellent,we all have different ideas ) But one thing is for sure the winner will be very delighted with this "RARE Ist pressing of " THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME GOLD AND BLACK FIRST PRESSING" ............. This STEREO album was released on the 26th of April 1963 4 weeks after the MONO release- of 22-march 1963, the album was top of the charts for 30 weeks only being toppled by WITH THE BEATLES. Total length in the charts was 70 weeks and 1/4 of a million copies were sold.. George Martin wanted to title it Off the Beatle Track, and he wanted to record it at the cavern, would history have been different if he had? On 20-May-05 at 07:48:42 BST, seller added the following information: I played the record on 19-may-05 on my SONY SYSTEM which has a very sensitive stylus to my delight the sound was SUPERB !!!!!! each track plays as if it was recorded yesterday, with only a little crackle in between tracks. I can honestly say that whoever wins this album will be very very pleased with it, the sound is so clear and crisp, everything is heard correctly.....I guarentee that you will not be disappointed .If you are after a great copy " THEN THIS IS THE ONE " don't lose out.!!!!!!!price rating
