Here's an AMAZING copy of THE CRYSTALS classic LP HE'S A REBEL. A SUPER RARE OG 1963 US MONO PRESSING on the PHILLIES LABEL. There are a handful of all time classic rock albums that not only were recorded well with great songs and performance, but also proved to be hugely influential in the canon of the genre. It was the first great record that PHIL SPECTOR worked his wall of sound magic on. The song He's a Rebel was already recorded as a single, and was doing well. Darlene Love was the singer on that song, and went uncredited on the LP.
The COVER is VG++ It's in great shape, colorful and solid. There are 2 soft corners on the spine side, a touch of ring wear on front, a small bottom ding to the back cover center below the writing. The opening took 2 very small dings towards the bottom. You have to look pretty hard to see them. All that said, this is as great a cover as I've seen for this LP. Look at the whites on front and back. You don't see this kind of beautiful cover, really almost at all..
Vinyl is NEAR MINT. Has a couple light marks that are superficial, and do net effect the play at all. There are some lite surface sound between tracks, but does not effect the music at all. This is a super clean, beautifully glossy copy that sounds perfect. A rare condition for an already rare LP.COVER. VG++VINYL. NEAR MINT
