Up for auction this week I am offering an interesting mix of PRIVATE PRESS, Psych, Folk, PROG & RARE LP Records. This LP is: THE DOORS / Self Titled. ELEKTRA Records EKL-4007 MONO from 1967! The cover is in excellent shape however the original owner has taped the shrink wrap to the edge of the mouth the LP Cover. Not sure if you could remove the tape? But it has preserved the cover incredibly well! There is a small very minor bend mark on bottom right but it is hardly noticeable. I included a close up pic to illustrate how the original owner taped the shrink on. Again, the LP cover underneath is excellent! No ring wear. The LP was VERY WELL cared for. Grades solid VG++ and plays Solid VG+ TO VG++ maybe nicer. I made a CDR for myself and noticed a few very minor pops but even in soft songs like the END it played Excellent. Visual grade is Solid VG++ to NM-. Play grade I'll say VG+ to VG++. A VPI may help the play grade though I see no scratches or scuffs either way, nor dirt etc. It's very clean but in maybe 3 places there were minor pops. Either way a remarkable example of this classic LP in MONO! Satisfaction Guaranteed. If you aren't happy, send it back! No reserve.
