Very Rare! THE DOORS• WAITING FOR THE SUN (1968 EKL-4024 1st Ed. MONO) Brown Label• Condition is Used - LP Is Mint! Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

This is an extremely rare and very collectible first edition copy- Has brown Electra label w/small “e” on “electra”. See listing photo 2.

Importantly, this LP is in great overall condition. Indeed, the album disc is in superb condition, like new or pristine playing surface and label that has no material flaws or even notable blemishes. Indeed, despite being 50 years old, the LP appears never played with no surface scratches, scuffs or other marks — thus l, it appears new and for all practical purposes it is new or at least “like new! I can sincerely state that it is hard to imagine finding this album in better condition- I have no doubt you will be satisfied!

This album has original dust cover sleeve, i.,e., the brown “electra” label sleeve. This particular sleeve has no written marks, stains, soiling, rips or other material flaws - it does have creasing/wrinkling on bottom left corner and the upper right corner has a ? inch, barely noticeable rip.

The album also has original gatefold cover. It is in good overall condition, especially considering the age of the LP. It does have several notable blemishes, which I do not consider too significant, again especially considering the LP has endured approximately 50 years of storage and occasional handling.

The notable blemishes are:

- some minor, but remarkably limited, surface rubbing, most notable on the front, lower cover under the album’s title and the diagonal line near the front bottom right corner;

- various edge/corner wear, primarily along the lp’s spine where the top and bottom edges have about an inch of considerable wear with some fraying (there is some other small areas of minor edge wear, but nothing too noticeable or problematic); and

- a previous owner’s hand-written cursive name, (i.e., “Bill”) in black ink.

Except for the aforementioned blemishes, the cover has no other writing or anything else added by a previous seller or owner. The cover has no stickers. It also has no overt stains, soiling, or other notable flaws.

All of the aforementioned Blemishes can be seen and evaluated by you by looking at listing’s numerous photos. While all of the LP’s notable blemishes are relatively minor cosmetic flaws limited to the cover and sleeve, and more than made up for in my opinion by the mint disc, I did consider them in pricing the LP and discounted the price accordingly.

This rare edition has the following album number - “EKL-4024”, which is the first pressing of this rare Mono LP.

Please not that this classic album is extremely rare and increasingly hard to find, especially with the disc in such superb collectible condition! It’s value is continuing to increase, especially as the the very limited, finite supply available continues to decrease. To that end, I sincerely suggest that if you are interested in this album that you do not delay too long.

I will seriously consider any and all reasonable offers and if “in the ballpark”, I will at least provide a counteroffer.

In sum, this is a rare, great condition album with a pristine, like new disc, which would be a terrific addition to any serious LP or Doors collection, would make a wonderful gift and/or at the bare minimum would be a wonderful listen!
