     One of the rarest jazz items in existence! Absolutely fantastic 4LP box set from 1952, with all original contents. Produced by the great Norman Granz.

MERCURY 4 LPS IN ALBUM # MC C 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004

     Released in a limited edition of only 1384. This is number 984. This set contains four deep-groove blue-vinyl LPs, 15 pages of great photos printed on high quality paper, six 8.5 x 11" black-and-white prints of David Stone Martin drawings, and one 25 x 11.5" David Stone Martin color print (folded in half, signed in pencil by the artist). This is autographed and numbered by Fred Astaire (see photos)!!!

     Red box cover is in VG+ condition. Has some light overall discoloration/staining and very minor wear evident, which is not unusual considering it's age. The gold writing on the spine is faded. The spine itself is intact (not torn) and the binding/spirals are intact as well. No tears in the binding or cloth covering. The photos and other innards are beautiful! All in excellent condition. No tears and only the most minor wear evident. The paper has only slightly yellowed with age...It is barely noticeable.

    All six B & W art prints are in excellent condition as well. No tears or wear evident. Same goes for the beautiful color print. Prints are housed in a portfolio with a foldover tab, which is also in perfect condition.

     Records range from VG to VG+. There are noticeable light to medium surface marks (most likely paper scuffs from years of storage) throughout the four LPs, though no deep scratches (no marks can be felt). Light surface noise, but all play well.

SLEEVE CONDITION

• M. Virtually untouched.
• NM. Some evidence of handling, but no stains, tears or excessive fading.
• VG+. Lightly shelfworn. Includes such issues as small seam splits and edge wear. No major issues or instability.
• VG. Moderate wear.
• Any condition poorer than VG will be specifically noted.
