I don't know if I've ever heard a song that captures the simple beauty of a child's innocence than Kites are Fun. It's definitely a sound more people should explore. Don't Turn Away is another standout. (Both those songs are also standouts on the excellent Sleepy Bedtime Mix for Young Ones mix which I'd highly recommend if you're fiending for more of this mellow vibe.) Really everything on here fits into the same vibe, simple melodies and complex harmonies, beautifully sung lyrics about everything or nothing. This would have been perfect for the tail end of a comedown from an acid trip in 1967 (or 2017), or for lulling a baby to sleep. It's also perfect as I drink my morning coffee before work and try to hold on to that warm and fuzzy post-waking up feeling before stepping out into the world.
