THE GODZ WERE A BAND FROM NEW YORK ESTABLISHED IN 1966 - ORIGINAL MEMBERS WERE JIM MCCARTHY, LARRY KESSLER, JAY DILLON AND PAUL THORNTON 
 The Godz emerged from the same underground New York folk-rock scene as The Fugs. There was no precedent for what they did. The weirdest and most far-out bands around at that time were the Monks and the Mothers of Invention. The first albums of the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, and the Grateful Dead all lay in the future. They also pre-dated Cromagnon and The Shaggs by several years. So whatever you want to call what they’re doing—freak folk, psych-folk, avant noise-rock, proto-punk—they were pretty much inventing it out of whole cloth.
Even further out than Contact High with the Godz, Godz Two is, at times, one of the most deliberately annoying, purposefully incompetent albums ever made. White Light/White Heat has nothing on it, tracks like "Squeak," a nearly five-minute violin solo by Larry Kessler that sounds like what might happen if someone slowly fed a Stradivarius through a crosscut paper shredder, and the bewilderingly random "Riffin'," which sounds like the work of a set of off-their-meds paranoid schizophrenics posing as the Holy Modal Rounders. And the closing "Permanent Green Light" foreshadow both the streamlined motorik sound of Neu! and other Krautrock-based bands. THE CONDITION OF THIS LP IS WONDERFUL! ON FIRST VIEWING IT SHINES LIKE NEW, SHOWING NO EVIDENCE OF PLAY - UNDER LIGHTS SOME VERY THIN HAIR LINES IN SPOTS EMERGES WITH ONE MORE NOTICEABLE SIDE 2 AND SOME RUBBING TO THE SHINY SURFACE PROBABLY DUE TO REMOVING FROM PAPER INNER SLEEVE OVERALL, THIS LP HAS BEEN RARELY PLAYED EVIDENCED BY THE LACK OF ANY SCRATCHES ON THE CENTER LABEL HOLE
THE JACKET LOOKS LIKE IT JUST LEFT THE PRINTERS - HEAVY US CARDBOARD AND SHINY, THIS IS IN SUPERB SHAPE - THE BACK IS BRIGHT WITH NO RING WEAR AND NO BUMPING EVIDENCE THE SPINE IS PERFECT AND LABELS ARE IN MINT SHAPE (SEE PHOTOS)

FINALLY ONE LAST WORD RE HAIRLINES, IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY NON SEALED RECORD WITHOUT THEM, MANY HAD THEM FROM NEW. MOSTLY THEY ARE A RESULT OF STORAGE AND USE AND USUALLY HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SAME GOES FOR BACKGROUND NOISE, UNFORTUNATELY ALL RECORDS WILL HAVE SOME AND THIS VARIES AND REFLECTS THE PRESSING QUALITY. 

Most records have production marks where someone touched or moved the vinyl while it was still semi-soft.  These marks look like smudges, but are not scratches or "paper scuffs" and do not usually sound.  Untouched vinyl from newly-opened records have these marks.

How I Grade Condition Of Discs

Mint

This means I have owned it from new or purchased from a distributors warehouse, basically it means absolutely new shape, never been played or out of its dust cover. In the case of LP's, a North American album will have to be factory sealed (anyone can reseal an album!) Take Note: European and Japaneses albums were never shrink wrapped!

Note: Being mint does not guarantee it's free of pops and clicks, many pressings especially from the US were made with very poor vinyl and in a hurry which means often there are imperfections in the pressing. As a former importer, we were often given back brand new albums due to clicks heard in the playback.

Mint Minus - No such thing, it's either mint or not.

Excellent - A disc is super clean, with no visible marks

 Excellent Plus, means it's probably mint but can't be proven by me.

Excellent minus, is a disc that is excellent except it may have some markings that do not show up in the playing

VG - A disc that is STILL in good shape, WILL have some scuffs or scratches, not in excellent shape but well worth owning. VG + and ++,a disc that is that much better than VG.
