THE MICE - Lot of 2 Rare Records: For Almost Ever EP and Scooter LP
THE MICE were a pop/power pop band from Cleveland in the early-mid 80's fronted by the legendary Bill Fox. They were very influential regionally - Robert Pollard of Guided By Voices is a big fan and has claimed them as a big influence on his own songwriting. These 2 records are the only records The Mice put out besides a 7" that is even harder to find than these. Both these records are long out of print! Here's what we've got:
1. The Mice - For Almost Ever EP. Released in 1985 on Herb Jackson Records (Cleveland, Ohio). A six song EP. In excellent condition. Jacket has a cut corner and a little spot where a sticker was removed. All seams intact, fine condition (see photo). LP is in excellent condition. A few very faint surface marks that can be seen in bright light that do not affect play.
2. The Mice - Scooter LP. Released in on SVC records (Cleveland, Ohio) in 1986. Record and Jacket are Near Mint. A beautiful, pristine copy of this holy grail power pop LP.
Note: In the mid-90's Bill Fox resurfaced briefly to release 2 CDs of home recorded brilliance: Transit Byzantium and Shelter From The Smoke. They are both available on SpinArt Records. You should hear those too if you haven't.
