AND ALL IN AMAZING CONDITION.
PLEASE KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS AS I HAVE A FEW NEVER SEEN AND RARELY SEEN IN DEMAND ITEMS TO COME UP FOR SALE !!! THANKS.
WOW WHAT A FIND, AN UNRELEASED UK DOUBLE SIDED MOD / R&B ACETATE FROM 1966 BY PRE- JO JO GUNNE MEMBERS UNDER THE NAME: THE PENNY BLACKS !!!
BOTH TRACKS ARE AMAZING MOD / R&B NUMBERS WITH HAMMOND AND HORN SECTION !!! One track has been comped on the: RARE MOD VOLUME 6 compilation of UNRELEASED 60'S MOD / R&B / PSYCH tracks, BUT THE OTHER TRACK WHICH IS EVEN BETTER HAS NEVER BEEM HEARD BEFORE !!!
From what I was told by the industry guy I bought this from and was involved with the band, this is 1966 PRE- JO JO GUNNE band, unlike what the sleeve notes to the RARE MOD VOLUME 6 compilation says !!
I HAVE INCLUDED SOUND CLIPS FROM BOTH TRACKS FOR YOU TO LISTEN !!!
This copy came from a retired RECORD COMPANY EXECUTIVE (as mentioned above) !!!!!!!!!
The tracks are: I'M COMING HOME / YOU LEFT THE WATER RUNNING (I guess).
The ACETATE was pressed at the EMIDISC PRESSING PLANT.
The condition of the ACETATE is VG-/G+ (plays better with the usual crackle and pop acetate have, side 2 has a minor flake right at the beginning of the track which causes a skip, but as you can hear from the sound clip it plays well after that, side 2 is also missing a label, if it ever had one), ALSO COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL FLAIPBACK BLANK CARDBOARD SLEEVE !!!
PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER NEAR MINT 60'S DEMOS / PROMOS LISTED THIS WEEK AND WEEKS TO COME !!!
AFTER A FEW PROBLEMS ALL ITEMS OVER £20.00 WILL HAVE TO BE SENT REGISTERED / INSURED AT AN EXTRA COST OF £1.50 (UK), £5.20 (REST OF THE WORLD) NO EXCEPTIONS !!!
