THE ROLLING STONES, Mona sleeve, debut UK 1964 Decca mono LP.

LK 4605, 1964 UK un boxed mono grooved Decca record labels.

A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. earliest known sleeve, featuring:

a. side one, track two, the very earliest copies featured the 'incorrect' track title of, ‘wanna’, this track title was soon change to 'read, ‘want to’,

b. side one, track four, the very earliest copies featured the 'correct' track title of, ‘Mona’. Almost immediately this track title was changed to 'incorrectly ?' read, ‘I need you baby’,

c. side two, track four, the 'writers credit' has been mis spelt as, ‘Bozier’, this 'error' was soon spotted and quickly corrected to read, ‘Dozier’,

d. side two, track five, the track title has been mis printed as, ‘You can make it you try !’, this was soon corrected to read, ‘You can make it 'if' you try !’,

e. within the sleeves notes, the track, ‘Can I get a witness’ has been mis spelt as, ‘Can’t I get a witness ’,

f. within the sleeves notes, the track, ‘You can make it if you try’, appears as, ‘You can make it’,

g. earliest UK original twin 'flip back’ design variant, top and bottom,

h. on the rear, top left corner of the sleeve there is an original, 'origin / production/ retail ?' stamp,

j. the rear of the sleeve from the spine, features a larger area, 23mm of laminate,

2. The record labels feature:

a. early UK 1964 red un boxed, ‘Decca’, ‘ridged’ record labels, featuring the ‘Roman’ font text, ‘inverted’ record matrix and the text, ‘recorded first published 1964’,

3. on the rear of the sleeve and on the record label side one, track three, features the earliest 'incorrect', 'writers credit' of, 'Hurran and Calvert', this was soon to be changed to read the 'correct', 'writers credit' of, 'Reed',

4. comes with its original period, ‘Decca’ inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE OUTER COVER: is in 'near very good' condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in 'near very good' condition and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The rear of the sleeve features the original earliest UK 1960s period twin ‘flip back’, ie fold over edges design, top and bottom. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing on the sleeve. On the front, top left corner there are two stickers,

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in 'near very good' condition and is the original UK period mono ‘Decca’ inner sleeve. Theres NO pen writing on the inner sleeve. There is a sellotape repair to one side edge and some sellotape on the two rear, lower corners.

THE RECORD: each side of the record is in 'good++' condition.

The records 'matrix' is: XARL 6271 2A and XARL 6272 3A,

The records 'mother / stampers' are: side one, ‘3B UM’, and side two, ‘1 UC’,

THE AUDIO: side one, track three plays 'good' with some 'ticks', the rest of side one plays 'very good' with some 'ticks' heard here and there. Side two plays 'very good' with 'ticks' heard here and there. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in 'near excellent' condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

Postage and packing.

All records posted to a UK address will be sent 1st class and to be signed for on delivery.

Packing - all records are posted with multi layered card stiffeners for protection. Before posting, the record is removed from the records original inner and outer sleeves, the record is then put into a second inner sleeve to minimise any damage that may occur while in transit. The record / sleeves are then put into a plastic sleeve for further protection.

Discount will be given on postage for multiple purchases.

In the UK – there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post, therefore post and packing charges may vary.

I will send records anywhere overseas.

All records that are posted overseas will be sent ‘signed for on delivery’ and there maybe an additional cost for insurance as the seller has no protection if the item goes missing in the post, therefore post and packing charges may vary.

In non EU country’s an ‘import tax’ and a couriers ‘clearance fee’ may need to be paid, this is down to the buyer to pay these fees.
