Description

This is a real tough SMITHS 45 now, and 1 of 2 rare Dutch 45s I currently have listed as fair priced "Buy it Nows".
This first one is incredibly tough and is a recent addition to Record Collector's top 100 Smiths rarities. However this version of it is an incredibly rare variant of it! In Holland there was a standard Megadisc version to the "Bigmouth" single with usual black and grey label (not unlike a cog on a bike in design). A very small batch of these had mispressed grey labels that missed the megadisc logo so they had to hand stamp each of these copies with a megadisc ink stamp on the back sleeve (which this has!) and that left just dull titles incorrect silver labels with title, song credits etc etc.
however this copy has next to nothing on the labels and almost looks like some weird silver labelled test pressing- though if you hold it at certain lights you can just see the titles.
a lovely mispressed variant of a real rare 45, and vinyl and sleeve are excellent!
