Description
GROOVY, FUNKY, VINTAGE, FROM THE EMERALD CITY (SEATTLE), RIGHT HERE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST, COMING TO YOU, THE SONICS, NOT THE SEATTLE SUPERSONICS, BUT THE ONE, THE ONLY, PIONEERS OF THEIR TIME, THE SONICS "HERE COME THE SONICS. MUSIC HAS ALWAYS INTRINSICALLY BEEN A PART OF THE SEATTLE CULTURE. WHILE JIMI HENDRIX WAS DOING HIS THING, THE SONICS WERE DOING THEIR THING, BOTH FROM THE SEATTLE AREA, BOTH PIONEERS, BOTH VERY DIFFERENT SOUNDS.
THE MUSIC SCENE EXPLODED IN SEATTLE IN THE LATE 80'S TO MID 90'S, BUT IT WAS PIONEERS LIKE THE SONICS, IN THE '60'S WHO LAYED THE GROUNDWORK. THIS IS FROM THE ETIQUETTE RECORD LABEL, IN TACOMA, WASHINGTON, PART OF THE GREATER SEATTLE AREA. THIS IS A FIRST PRESSING, AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE IT IS FROM THE ESTATE OF A VERY WELL KNOWN ARTIST/PAINTER HERE IN SEATTLE.
The Sleeve is in Very Good Condition, probably one of the better examples of the sleeves you will find, for this record. There is some shelf wear to the sleeve, and some bumping on the edges, you can see a record ring starting to appear, but overall, in Very Good Condition for its' age. The Vinyl itself has some scratches throughout on both sides and plays through fine on both sides, but there is some popping and hissing throughout, which you may or may not be able to get a better sound quality by a thorough cleaning, and using a better quality record player than I have. The Vinyl itself I am listing in fair condition. The labels on the record itself, are intact, and look very clean for their age.
ALL OF THE TREES, RAIN, RIVERS MOUNTAINS, AND THE CONFLUENCE AND COLLISSION OF MUSIC HERE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST IS UNIQUE. OWN THIS UNIQUE, RARE AND EARLY COPY OF A PIECE OF THE SEATTLE AREA, NOT TO MENTION, AMERICAN MUSIC HISTORY. YOU CAN HEAR THE FUNK, SOUL, PUNK, AND IF YOU LISTEN REAL CLOSELY, MAYBE THE GRUNGE. LIKE THE MAGMA BENEATH MT. ST. HELENS, THIS RECORD IS READY TO EXPLODE. BUY IT FOR YOUR COLLECTION TODAY.
