Format: Very rare live gig only 7" as a limited edition of 500 in great hand made picture sleeve!


The Ting Tings, the Salford / Manchester duo (Katie White on guitar/vocals and Jules De Martino on drums) resemble a White Stripes in reverse. After their debut 7", the disco-punk-funk anthem single 'That's Not My Name' (on the local Switchflicker label as a limited edition of 500) they have released a live show only single called 'Fruit Machine'.

The records were only available for fans to buy at live shows in Salford, Berlin, London and New York. A hundred blank seven-inch sleeves was pinned to a wall at each gig, making a canvas on which fans can create an overall piece of artwork that, once dismantled, will be used as the sleeves for the singles. Every copy is unique and comes with a certificate on the back and special insert. In addition to this, the making of the sleeves was filmed and then shown in real time at each consecutive venue. Taken from the website "On october the 19th the band held the first of 4 gigs which also incorporated a live sleeve design event. This event enabled fans to design the 7" sleeves of the new  single 'Fruit Machine'. The 7" singles designed in Salford will be sent to the sleeve designers in BERLIN which is where the next event will be held. This series of events will continue until the sleeve designers of SALFORD recieve their 7" single designed by the good people of NEW YORK"

It's one of few sleeves with layers of masking tape / ducting tape / purple paint and gold design - very interesting and textual indeed. Even with peice of blue tack from original installation. With 2 Inserts (see picture)
