Title - "My Generation"
Label - UK Brunswick (Decca). Label is all black with all lettering in silver. LAT 8616
Format - 12 Track LP, 12 Inch, 33rpm, Mono
Matrix Stamps - MG-10256-IB (Side 1) MG-10257-IB (Side 2)
Year of Release - UK 1965
Sleeve Design - Laminated front cover with cardboard rear. Front cover is fully laminated with full colour picture of band. Brunswick logo in top right corner with band lettering in orange and album title in blue. Rear of sleeve is cardboard in black and white.
Record Details - The sleeve is in overall very good condition as shown in the pictures provided, it is graded at VG. The front of the sleeve has some small staining and wearing around the entrance to the sleeve. Front of sleeve is bright and clear with no worrying concerns. All four corners on front of sleeve are in tact with some slight wearing. Slight amount of damage to the opening of the sleeve (as shown in the picture) The spine of the sleeve has minimal creasing and all lettering is bright and clear. The rear of the sleeve has staining as would be expected with a record of this age and also the fact that it was considered a party LP.
The record itself plays through with no issues or concerns and is graded at VG, it has a clear sound throughout. When you consider the before mentioned reasons about this being considered a party LP, it really is in nice condition. Side 1 has surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 1 has spindle marks as shown on picture. Side 2 has surface marks that in no way affect playing or sound. Label on Side 2 has spindle marks (less than side 1) as shown on picture.
I have used the Rare Record Guide grading system to grade the overall condition of both the sleeve and the record itself.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System:
MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or un-played should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding.
The record will be packaged carefully using top quality record mailers and stiffeners.
