Description
An excellent copy of the iconic first lp by The Who. I live in West London and these were our local boys who made good ! Saw them in many Mod clubs back in the early 1960S including the bohemian Eel Pie Island and the legendary Richmond Athletic ground gig as well as many local pubs ...great days ! I have loved and treasured this record since purchasing it in 65 rushing out to buy it like many did after hearing them live. I am not going to bore you to death with record collector speak but this is the highly coveted first release on the Brunswick label in glorious mono with LAT 8616 number and MG 10256 1B and MG10257 2B pressed on the spiral etc. Cover is very good indeed with no rips or tears and original inner sleeve. Vinyl itself is also very good with a visible light scratch on side B that is not noticeable audibly and there are slight spindle marks on the label. We always played singles at parties back then and they did get mashed on the old Blaupunkt radiogram...but not this record...in fact its not been on the turntable for many many years. So I would say that if you were looking for a really good copy of this album without a silly buy it now price here it is ! I will post worldwide and will go over the top on the packing but please ask for a quote before bidding . Happy Ebaying to all you faces out there....!
