THE YARDBIRDS - 'OVER, UNDER, SIDEWAYS, DOWN.' MONO!
USA 1st pressing on yellow EPIC labels. LN 24210 (1966).
First issue matrix and superb USA card/paper slick sleeve.
Nice example with vinyl in EX+ condition. The mono mix is superb.
Yardbirds rarity. Killer guitar by Jeff Beck throughout. Way ahead of its time! Highly regarded in MONO.
USA card/slick sleeve grades full EXCELLENT (EX) condition. Intact, fully legible spine and font/text. No separation at the sleeve seams. Front of sleeve is in clean and solid condition with only very light signs of age and handling wear. Rear sleeve is very clean too. There is a deletion hole to the top left corner which cuts through part of the 'O' of 'Over'.
There is also a very neat and carefully executed (nearly invisible) repair made to top seam of the cover with what looks like acrylic or enamel paint. It is a very professional job and I almost missed mentioning it as it is barely noticeable. There are slight creases to the bottom left and right corners and a lightly dinged top left corner. Not too bad though considering most copies I have seen. There are no other issues. Clean and very respectable shape.
The very glossy and deep black vinyl and labels grade EXCELLENT PLUS (EX+) maybe even EX++!
I (and many others) would consider this album a major rarity in this condition. To find a cleaner one could be a life's work and a very expensive outlay. I have been the custodian of this treasured copy for about 20 years.
In all a great example of this very rare and influential psych/rock album.
