Here is another frm my personal collection! An awesome sounding 1st UK pressing of the late great Thin Lizzy This their debut album extreemely hard to find in this condition! This album has been stored in a case for at least 25 years with the sleeve and cover seperated from the vinyl for protection , this is how i have always stored my records!! The vinyl has barely been played and the audio was near to perfect on my systems throughout!!This being the earliest Stereo (there were no monos) with the earliest released matrix endings for this pressing '-3D' both sides and look ''1'' to ''1'' mother stampers both sides! From my personal experiance the earliest stampers are the best for audio quality available on vinyl!!!!

According to the album liner notes, recording of the original debut album began on January 4, 1971. Exactly fifteen years later, Phil Lynott died on January 4, 1986!!
Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1969. The band were led throughout their recording career by bassist, songwriter and singer Phil Lynott, and are best known for their songs "Whiskey in the Jar", "Jailbreak" and "The Boys Are Back in Town", all major international hits still played regularly on hard rock and classic rock radio stations!!.
Consistent with being Thin Lizzy's leader, Lynott was composer or co-composer of almost all their songs. He was also one of the few black men to achieve significant success in hard rock. As well as being multiracial, the band drew its members not only from both sides of the Irish border but also from both the Catholic and Protestant communities. Their music reflects a wide range of influences, including country music, psychedelic rock, Irish music and traditional Irish folk music, but is generally classified as hard rock or heavy metal!!!
Critic for allmusic John Dougan has written that "As the band's creative force, Lynott was a more insightful and intelligent writer than many of his ilk, preferring slice-of-life working-class dramas of love and hate influenced by Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, and virtually all of the Irish literary tradition."Van Morrison, Jeff Beck and Jimi Hendrix were major influences during the early days of the band, and later influences included American artists Little Feat and Bob Seger!!!

The Vinyl
This is the original thick and heavy chunky slab type of vinyl only found on the earliest pressings like this! On initial inspection the vinyl gleems like new and i can barely see a blemish at all!! I can't see any needle or audio sounding marks at all unbeleivable to find like this! Any marks that could possibly be seen would be light whyspy non audio sounding sleeve removal only!! The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping! It is quite obvious to me that this vinyl has barely ever been played at all!
The Audio quality!
I have played this through track for track at very loud volume as usual on a top system! The audio is as good as it gets in my opinion absolutely cristal clear and vibrant throughout with (no) signs of any grooveware or that this has been overplayed at all! Trully stunning top top audio! Real deep rich bassey feel and amaizing seperation!! There are (no) clicks or pops and i heard (no) crackle even inm between tracks very rare like this indeed! This played near perfect indeed on my systems as goog as it gets in my opinion and the earliest 1st UK pressing very sought after!!!Even the quiet tracks on this album played near perfect unbeleivable like this!!!
Points to note! This album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 25 years! A build up of dirt and dust causes static, a constant clean befor each play is recomended! Thias will reduce static and enhance the audio quality!
Please note! I always add this didclaimer! I have given my honest opinion when describing the audio as i heard it and found that this played as new in my opinion and on my systems! Please allow for the odd light static, Please remember this is a genuine 38 year old vinyl that would have been originally played on a 38 year old system! My personal opinion is that this plays near perfect throughout! I would class myself as highly critical please look at my completed listings of records that i have sold of this calaber and you will see that i normally get it right!!
The labels
These are the original (Boxed Decca) labels (only 1st UK press) in superbe conditon (see photos) Just very very minimal spidering can be seen angled to the light only, This looks and sounds barely ever played in my opinion! There is little if no spindleware the hole is perfectly round!
The Record Sleeve
This is the original DECCA serpier sleeve in perfect as new condition (no) splits or tares!
The Cover
Rarely seen like this! Unlaminated MacNeill Press printed (London) cover! in at least excellent to excellent plus condition absolutely superbe! Barely any real creases worth to mention very minimal ware\ rubbing to the edges and front only (Please note! These are normally seen in a terrible state and are unbeleivably hard to keep like this) There are no splits or tares and all writing can be seen clearly at the spine! Very very rare to find like this!!!
