Description
Hi there! Now, I just bought a VERY nice but small collection of vinyl from a late 70's/early 80's Mod/Punk collector, who really knew his stuff...but not only that, he was one of those guys who liked his records to remain in the SAME condition he bought them in (that may include the odd item that was not perfectly mint when he bought it)...everything was in plastic covers, stored in solid well-structured boxes, the tops of the records did NOT poke up above the box rim so they didn't get flattened/bent by another box being put on top...you get the gist, right. Every item had been LOVED, and treated with respect...we love people like that, right? Anyway, this is from that collection:
ARTIST: the THOUGHT CRIMINALS
TITLE: "FOOD FOR THOUGHTCRIMES"
TRACKS:
1. "MORE SUICIDES PLEASE"
2. "THE CUT-OUT MAN"
3. "DISPLAY/RESPONSE:REACTION"
4. "SO ALL THE SUPERHEROES"
5. "STOLEN AIR"
FORMAT: …vinyl 7” EP…
LABEL: DOUBLETHINK .
CATALOGUE #: DTDT-2 .
PRESSED IN: Australia .
DATE OF RELEASE: July 1979 .
ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: ...absolutely! yes, it is..
CONDITION: (cover/record): (MINT / M-) ...vinyl is shiny and so close to mint (just has two very light 'hair-line' marks on one side, only...neither affect play in any way)...
==//==
Only the very first few were hand-numbered, and this is one of the earliest of those copies (#018), with rare lyrics insert (which is mint).
On the inside of the plain paper inner sleeve, the guy I got it from has written (small and neatly) the day he bought it and the price he paid (17/7/79...$2.00) - he was meticulous about doing this - gives more credence to the originality angle!
If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks). You can pay in US$'s, Australian $'s, or UK pounds...whatever suits you best (using www.xe.com for any conversions).CLICK ON view sellers other auctions ABOVE FOR SIMILAR ITEMS

PACKING:
Don’t worry - we pack anything you buy VERY CAREFULLY to make sure it arrives in EXACTLY the condition it left here. More specifically, in the way we'd like to receive parcels ourselves. All vinyl is removed from it's picture cover to avoid any sleeve damage, and both cover and vinyl are sealed in plastic, and then packed within very sturdy thick cardboard...the idea is to ensure you won't be disappointed!
WE MAIL OUT TWICE A WEEK.
